Respect one another
Critique the work with care, not the person with cruelty. Harassment, hateful conduct, sexual exploitation, bullying, and threats are not welcome. Disagreement is allowed; abuse is not.
Your words remain yours
Writers and artists retain ownership of their original work. By choosing to make a community post public, you authorise The Loud Silence to display that content on the site under its community features. This does not grant permission to sell your work, include it in a paid anthology, or use it in advertising. Anthology publishing requires a separate, explicit agreement.
Share only what you have the right to share
Do not upload stolen writing or artwork, private correspondence without permission, or images of other people that violate their privacy. Credit collaborators and quotations appropriately.
Your privacy matters
Pen names are welcome. Public age, city, and biography details are optional. Do not share your home address, exact date of birth, financial details, or contact information you wish to keep private. Never reveal another member’s private information.
For difficult days
Kind support is welcome, but members are not professional crisis responders. The site must not be treated as an emergency service. If someone faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services and appropriate professional support.
How moderation works
Administrators may review, hide, or remove posts that violate these guidelines and may restrict accounts that repeatedly harm others. If something here has hurt you, you do not have to carry it quietly. Write to Justin with the page link and a brief explanation to report a concern or ask for a moderation decision to be reviewed. Reports are read by the site administrator; this inbox is not an emergency service.
A word about publishing
Posting in the Poetry or Art forum is not a formal submission to The Loud Silence: Voices. Submission guidelines, deadlines, selection, credits, and publishing rights will be separately explained before any work is considered for publication.
